It's yummy Alu dim chop is very good (fried mash potato with egg bits at the center) with this spicy sauce that has a nice kick to it (spicy); vegetable samosa was good, but I liked the alu dim chop more Chicken biriyani was my favorite! The chicken was well seasoned and there was a lot of good flavor The fish combo was yummy (comes with white rice and a lentil soup that costs the mouth) - veryyyy tender fish Mango lassi was alright The yogurt was really nice - a non tart froyo with a chocolate base note Very very affordable with big portions! The service is also so lovely!

"I've been to Hello Bangladesh multiple times and usually had a great experience. However, during my recent visit, I tried the kachi biryani, and it didn't live up to expectations. While the other dishes I've had here have been consistently good, the biryani lacked the flavor and richness I was hoping for. Still, this is a nice spot overall, and I hope the consistency improves."

Pros - they constantly refill the pitcher (tap water) - for spice lovers, this is your haven - if you're into or interested in authentic Bangladeshi food, this is a great spot - decent portions, certain dishes (rice, curry) can feed at least 2-4 people - they can accommodate seating for large groups Cons - bit into a small green pepper hiding in my salad and it was very spicy - HEAVILY oily foods - hot plate, do not touch the bottom - one of the workers said the desserts were "sweet" when we asked HOW sweet. You may get sent to diabetic heaven when the dessert is purely condensed milk overall 4.5 stars. love the ambiance with movable tables and chairs. booths for 1-4 people. definitely a bit of a language barrier when it comes to explaining foods. very close to the N train, on the same block price was decent for 8+ people (about $200+tax)

Causal halal Bangladeshi restaurant where food is in steam trays. The food here is good but the biryanis are sweeter than I am used to. The goat biryani is delicious. The grains of rice is cooked and seasoned perfectly. The meat is delicious, fresh, and tender. There are plums(?) in it. The chicken biryani is good too with delicious chicken pieces but it was very sweet and had a floral rose flavor. Not my favorite. The fried chicken is also delicious and flavorful but a tad on the expensive side.

Good variety of options, some vegetarian but mostly contain meat. True to Bangladeshi cuisine, everything is pretty spicy. The alu vorta and bhortas were incredibly spicy. Much of the holiday selection was fried items. Worth visiting if you have a high spice tolerance and eat meat. Service was very helpful, those who didn't understand quickly brought over someone who did. They were patient and explained each dish and answered questions. Even other patrons were friendly and helpful.

It's very hard to find Bangladeshi food anywhere, and when I find it, I have to try it. At Hello Bangladesh, there is an assortment of different types of rice and biryanis, chicken and beef curries, as well as a few veggie dishes. I ordered the chicken biryani and saag paneer. It came out to a very affordable $8 (it is almost impossible to find a meal this cheap in NYC). The saag paneer was so flavorful and rich while the chicken biryani had the perfect amount of spice. My one issue with the biryani were the chicken bones in it, but this is typical in Bangladeshi cuisine--just make sure to watch what you're eating if you get a biryani or curry with bones in it.

Saw this cute little restaurant on the way to catch the subway during a recent trip to NY. The desserts in the window looked fabulous. So one night, while picking up some food for the trip home, we decided to give them a try! We ordered the chocolate moose and Mango Lassi. Both desserts were amazing. If I could have gotten away with locking my plate, I would have. I learned they just recently started selling dessert, so stop by and give them a try! Tell them hello from me. Very nice customer service!

Amazing tasty Bangladeshi food! My friend here & I got all this stuff & we finished it like a champ! I'm & strongly recommend it! I'll be back to be a regular & bring friends! The service was top notch as well! The servers brought the food out well & brought out extras! The ambiance is nice and clean too, they have a sink to wash your hands, cushioned seating, & a whole extra downstairs seating area with catering & party hosting options!
